Communication Arts Feature – Mantl Reps
We love Communication Arts. They’ve featured the recent A&M brand identity project for Mantl Reps, a Toronto-based agency representing Cinematographers on the exhibit section of their website. You can read the article in full here or see below.
Communication Arts Feature:
As a new agency representing cinematographers, MantlReps, based in Toronto, Canada, shakes up the industry by providing a supportive network for local talent. Design agency Art & Mechanical played with the idea of a team to create an identity system based on sports memorabilia. A juxtaposed M and R create the main logo that appears on the company’s stationery, as well as on shirts, flag, and baseball caps. Art & Mechanical also developed promotional kits, business tools and a web experience for MantlReps.
About Communication Arts:
Founded by Richard Coyne and Robert Blanchard in 1959, Communication Arts is the premier source of inspiration for graphic designers, art directors, design firms, corporate design departments, advertising agencies, interactive designers, illustrators, and photographers—everyone involved in visual communication. People involved in visual communication turn to Communication Arts for ideas and inspiration more than any other creative publication. CA’s editorials, feature articles, and annual competitions provide new ideas and information while promoting the highest professional standards for the field.
Now in our 56th year, our three-generation family-run business is committed to inspiring all visual communicators, from industry veterans to tomorrow’s innovators.
In addition, the Richard and Jean Coyne Family Foundation was established in 1990 to increase diversity in visual communications. The Foundation currently funds seventeen programs managed by educational institutions and non-profit trade organizations that help economically disadvantaged high-school students develop portfolios to qualify for admission to art school, and provide college scholarships for them to study graphic design, advertising, photography, and illustration.
