Alter Ego is one of Canada’s leading post-production companies. On the verge of US expansion, Alter Ego felt it was a good time to reassess the power of their brand. Within creative circles, the Alter Ego brand is well recognized, and retaining some of that existing equity was objective one, though many aspects of the brand needed to be redeveloped to properly reflect Alter Ego’s culture, and modernization of their approach and use of technology. A&M was selected to work with the Partner team to evolve and expand the visual brand adding more structure to ensure powerful and consistent application in any communication scenario.

The development of a new wordmark to compliment the iconic A/E icon was a helpful addition, giving the brand more reach for those who are not familiar with it. Though the palette is primarily monochromatic to ensure the client work is at the forefront of communications, a hit of colour has been added to highlight key information and represent the fun, approachable side of Alter Ego and their staff. The website redesign is a case study in consumer-driven discipline.
