MyLite Brand Development – MyLite is a wearable night light that offers two intensity settings to help you fall asleep or navigate at night. Research has shown that the negative effects of night awakenings on a night of restful sleep are intensified by harsh light that forces the body to awaken quickly. Gentle light to aid a trip to the bathroom is safer and healthier.
As a start-up, MyLite required all the materials a new company would need. The brand wasn’t just being extended to the product; it became the foundation for all the communication efforts, which required a number of unique materials, including the e-commerce experience. The brand is rooted in a bold wordmark paired with an icon that is stamped in iridescent foil, giving printed materials a sense of illumination without having to light up.
Gentle tones help to re-enforce a calming feel in execution. On the device itself, the icon is featured on the top of the bezel for the adult version, and illustrated stars are the feature for the children size with other versions coming soon.
