Who We Are
We believe Insights should always be first. What do people want? What do they need? What else are they doing? How can we help? Transformative brands are good listeners. They read between the lines. They try new things, but most importantly they evolve to ensure they are always thought of as a choice when someone is making a decision.
We achieve this through a fine balance of a few key factors: insight and inspiration; exploration and strategy; vision and execution; and of course, form and function.

David’s experience spans a broad range of brand and identity programs working closely with organizations of all sizes – from entrepreneurial start-ups to global leaders. With a hands-on approach to both strategic and creative processes, he delivers distinct content and creates memorable experiences. His work is widely published and recognized by major national and international publications, annuals and blogs. In the creative community, he regularly volunteers his time to networks and organizations. He’s on the ADCC Board of Directors and is an active juror for creative competitions. David owns a mug that says, “he’d rather be fly-fishing.”
Adam’s marketing communication experience crosses multiple disciplines having held senior leadership positions in PR, Advertising and Design. His years of experience working with national, international and start-up brands are invaluable in helping shape A&M’s approach and long-term strategy, all the while providing strategic counsel for all the agency’s clients. Often likened to a unicorn, his ability to build brands in strategic, imaginative ways, and his passion for developing and nurturing strong relationships between agency and client are a true rarity.
Michael’s experience is ripe with research and account service roles in some of Toronto’s most respected communication agencies. He’s worked with clients both large and small (and everything in between), including some of the most innovative brands in the country, as well as emerging players looking to make their mark. It’s this broad experience that has helped define his collaborative spirit and foster strong relationships with clients and agency partners alike. His passion for leading projects through ideation to execution is only matched by his tenacious dedication to sweating the small stuff – and boy does he sweat a lot.
Jan, a graduate of OCAD’s prestigious design program, is a creative powerhouse at A&M, but she’ll need to be a couple beers in before she’ll ever tell you that. And even then, it’s possible she’ll never tell you that. A design thinking natural, Jan is fundamental to the strategic brand function at A&M, and never shy to meet the challenges of the most complex of branded systems head-on. She’s been integral in helping usher through some of the largest and most complex projects and programs the studio has ever tackled with an efficacy that is unmatched. She eats very slowly (like, incredibly slow), but to her credit is quick (like, incredibly quick) on ideas.
What We Do
Simply put, we assist brands in realizing their true potential.
Take the ampersand, for example. It fits between things we think belong together. And while it’s easy to focus on the words that flank either side of the ampersand, the whole is truly bigger (and more exciting) than the sum of its parts, especially when you pay attention to how those things come together.
That’s what design does. And it’s what we do: make things better by fitting them together in surprising and memorable ways.
It’s not magic, but it is.
