Event Branding & Environment Design – Part of the brand development exercise is imagining a system that is big enough for unique and creative extensions. When we first developed the brand identity for Westside, the brief was about creating a brand that would express the personality of the leadership, but also frame their roster of content makers without over-powering their eclectic work. But when it’s all about Westside, like Block Party 2, then we can let our freak flag fly.
Block Party 2 is the second installment of Westside’s famous industry event that celebrates the Canadian creative industry, and all of its parts (people). This year’s take is a retro hip hop theme conceived of and illustrated by Art & Mechanical as an extension of the Westside brand. The visual tone is bold, yet playful transporting us to a simpler, funkier time. Hope to see you at the next one.
